The Empress Tap Tremolo is an original design built from the ground up to include innovative features without sacrificing tone. The audio signal path is analog, but the tremolo effect is controlled digitally via opto technology. This is one of our favorite pedals...not only is the tone warm and sweet like a true vintage trem, but it has many more options than most other vintage style trems. Fantastic!
